Dive education courses
Diving allows you a degree of freedom and weightlessness that is normally only experienced by astronauts. Most people begin their Diving Education with the SSI system, the SSI Open Water Course. This takes three to four days depending on where you learn and qualifies you to dive 18m with any other similarly qualified diver. Come and Dive with Us!
We also organize day trips around the island and three day adventure trips to the islands of Angthong “The Beach”. High in both temperature and humidity. Most people find it pleasant. The average temperature is about 30 degrees Celsius, or 86 degrees Fahrenheit. When it is getting too hot, just enter a air conditioned room or shop for a while and you will “refill your batteries”. Remember to drink a lot of water. Even if it is more or less “summer” here year round, you could say that Thailand and Koh Tao has three seasons: Dry Season, December – February: The dry season on Tao. Not much raining, but it can be a some refreshing wind or breeze on these islands then. Great for bodysurfing. The sun is shining a lot on us at this period of the year! Hot Season, March – August: The weather is still dry in this time, and rather hot. In May the raining may increase a little. This is a great period to visit Tao if you can stand 30-35 degrees Celsius daytime. The sunshine is still dominating the day time, almost as much as in the Dry Season. Rain Season, September – November: Also known as the monsoon season. It’s still hot and normally, there are many sunny days anyway. Sometimes you might find yourself in a refreshing monsoon shower for a moment. The rain showers often last just for a short while though and as these island’s water supplies are finite, the water is needed. Notice! The climate seasons are not exactly the same as in Krabi and Phuket, as these destinations are located in/at the Andaman Sea and Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao are located in the Gulf of Thailand. This makes the climate differences evident.

Your ticket to the underwater world – the OPEN WATER DIVER certificate. Your SSI Student Manual, DVD and water training sessions combined will help you learn everything you need to know to start your adventure the fun and correct way. The SSI Student Manual includes study guide questions at the end of each section to help you retain your new knowledge and test your retention. During your SSI Open Water Diver training sessions you will learn all of the necessary skills and safe diving procedures to be a comfortable confident diver. SSI Open Water Diver certification cards are recognized throughout the world. They entitle you to dive with other certified divers, enable you to purchase/rent equipment and obtain air fills anywhere you choose to dive. Minimum age: 15 EFR (emergency first responce)Who would not rather dive with a buddy who knows CPR or basic medical first aid? Excellent medical course also for non divers. This certification or qualifying rating you need for example to be certified as a PADI Rescue Diver or PADI Divemaster. Course structure: Academics, video and practical training. Minimum age: - SSI Advanced AdventurerIf you want to improve your diving skills and learn about different topics you can do underwater, this course is for you! More relaxed than Open Water Course, since you already know how to dive, no exams! This course is based on diving and doing the things you’d love to do underwater, and the goal is to gain experience and to began more confident. There is a list of more than 20 different elective dives to chose from, just to mention a few; deep diver, drift diver, night diver, cavern diver, multilevel diver, research diver, wreck diver, underwater hunter, u-w naturalist, u-w navigator, u-w photographer, u-w videographer, u-w scooter… etc. This course is a good idea to take for example straight after your Open Water Diver Course! Course structure: 5 dives, 5 different topics (2 core dives, deep and navigation and 3 dives of your own choice) Minimum age: 15 PADI Rescue diver courseAfter your Advanced and a few fun dives you might want to do some more challenging dives maybe in a more demanding environment, then the possibility that a problem might accure to you or your buddy will encreace and that is the time it would be better to know how to handle rescue situations. Starting from simple skills such as how to handle a cramp in your buddys leg or all the way how to manage a whole rescue scenario. Rescue diver course will teach you all of this, and it’s maybe the most fun of the courses. Course structure: Rescue Diver video, 4 academic sessions and exams+final exam, Inwater training 5 sessions Minimum age: 15 |
