I'm currently just a PADI OWSI and I've been meaning to dive into tech for awhile now. Went in for a meeting and was helped by Mikko himself. We talked for 45 minutes about what will best suit me and how to get to where I want to be. We decided to start with the SSI Extended Range Sidemount doubled with the Independent Diver courses as a way for me to start going solo for photography purposes. Boy was that one of the greatest decisions I've ever made! Mikko is an incredibly experienced diver and not only knows what he's talking about, but also provides tips and tricks from doing such diving for so long. He challenged me while never feeling unsafe. He's currently in southern Thailand working to find a new cave system (aka doing what he does) but can't wait until he's back so I can continue to learn from him. On top of all of this he is a very outgoing person and just a pure joy to be around. As for getting my materials and all the logistics involved in the course, it was smooth as could be and their office and shop operate with a high level of efficiency. All in all, having worked in a few different countries as an instructor and diving in a few more I can confidently say Koh Tao Divers was the most enjoyable to dive with. Well worth my time and money.
