Wreck diving offers a unique blend of history, mystery, and adventure—but safely navigating these underwater environments requires advanced skills and knowledge. The SSI Advanced Wreck Diving course at Koh Tao Divers is designed to take your wreck diving to the next level, teaching you the techniques necessary for safe wreck penetration and navigation in overhead environments.
This course focuses on planning, specialized equipment use, line handling, and emergency protocols, ensuring you’re confident and prepared for every dive. Whether you’re exploring a historic shipwreck or an artificial reef, our expert instructors will guide you through each step with personalized training and decades of experience.
Koh Tao offers four incredible wrecks to explore, including the HTMS Sattakut, HTMS Trident, and the newly sunk HTMS Suphairin and HTMS Hanhak Sattru, providing the perfect setting for your advanced wreck training.

Minimum Age
- 15 years old
Certication Requirements
- SSI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent and at least 24 logged dives.
Health
- Completing a medical questionnaire is mandatory for all diving courses to ensure your fitness for advanced diving activities. You are required to consult a physician and obtain medical clearance before participating.
Theory Sessions

Confined Water Practice

Open Water Dives
- Conduct guided penetration dives on Koh Tao’s iconic wrecks.
Specialized Equipment Training

Certification
- Earn your SSI Advanced Wreck Diving certification upon successful completion.

Accident Coverage
- Up to 1,000,000 THB for loss of life, dismemberment, loss of sight, or permanent disability.
Medical Expenses

Reimbursement Process
