Curious about diving with nitrox? The SSI Enriched Air Nitrox course is your key to safer, more efficient dives. Nitrox, a gas mix with a higher percentage of oxygen than regular air, allows you to extend your no-decompression limits, giving you more flexibility during dives. It’s especially useful for multi-dive days, reducing nitrogen build-up and increasing safety margins for longer, repetitive dives.
At Koh Tao Divers, we’ll teach you how to plan and dive with nitrox confidently. You’ll learn to analyze tanks, set your dive computer, and understand how nitrox benefits your dives. As Koh Tao’s oldest dive center, we’re proud to combine decades of expertise with personalized instruction, ensuring you feel fully prepared to dive with nitrox anywhere in the world.
You can choose to complete this course as a dry course without dives, focusing on theory and practical skills, or add nitrox dives to apply your knowledge in the water.

Certication Requirements
- Hold an SSI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent
Health
- Completing a medical questionnaire is mandatory for all diving courses to ensure your fitness for advanced diving activities. You are required to consult a physician and obtain medical clearance before participating.

Included Insurance for Koh Tao Divers Customers
Your included basic insurance provides
Accident Coverage
- Up to 1,000,000 THB for loss of life, dismemberment, loss of sight, or permanent disability.
Medical Expenses
- Coverage of up to 500,000 THB per person for each accident, including hyperbaric chamber treatments for diving accidents.
Exclusions
- Evacuation costs are not included.
Reimbursement Process
- Patients must pay treatment costs upfront, and the insurance company will reimburse within 2-3 weeks.
