First Scuba Diving Centre on Koh Tao

Koh Tao Divers, also known as KTD, is the oldest scuba diving school on Koh Tao - since 1987! We're known for our experienced instructors, relaxed vibe and amazing diving. KTD is Finnish owned and run, but our courses run also in English, Italian and Danish when needed.

At KTD you will find the full range of diving courses starting from beginner courses all the way to professional level and technical diving. We’re affiliated with Scuba Schools International and proudly boast the Diamond Instructor Training Resort rating. In technical diving we offer both SSI Extended Range and TDI courses.

We believe that the recipe for best diving comes from having fun, taking care of safety, and giving amazing experiences to our customers. Let us know what your diving dreams are, and we will do our best to deliver!

We are fully self-operated with our own dive boat M/V Sinking; a long tail boat that serves as the connection to the beach, and our own compressor with nitrox capabilities. At the shop you find 24 full sets of regularly maintained dive gear. For the technically minded divers we also have sidemount and rebreather sets for rent.

KTD has recently branched out to beautiful Malta. We also offer liveaboards to the Similan archipelago and Burma. Drop us a message, and we will get you diving!

Personalised Teaching

If your course is incomplete because of illness you will be refunded for the unfinished parts of the course. So don't worry, you only pay for what you get!
Our multilingual team consist instructors can teach courses in various of languages; English, Finnish, Italian, Danish, Swedish...
KTD uses the best Digital Training System in the market to make your learning more effective and fun! Spend less time in the class room by using environmentally friendly, comprehensive, first rate videos, illustrations, animations and photos to stimulate learning. Ofcourse in your own language!

"I stumbled upon Koh Tao Divers on my way home while I was on a holiday in Koh Tao. I popped into the shop to enquire about the fun dives and talked with Jenni and Sakki who were very helpful, explained the boat schedule and the packages available for dives. The boat is really good, schedule covers a wide variety of the best sites, they have good equipment but what makes this diveshop stand out is the atmosphere that I haven't experienced elsewhere in Koh Tao. The fun dives are literally fun dives. I have never felt so relaxed diving, being encouraged and enjoying myself. Everyone working at KTD goes the extra mile to make sure all customer wishes and needs are accommodated. When on board I felt like being part of the crew, fully involved in discussions about the dives, about the marine life and this created an environment where it was just so easy to bond with the other divers as well. I had 13 fun dives with KTD, namely with Giorgio, Tom, Pauliina, Eeva & Antti who were all excellent, knowledgeable and super fun and really hope I can go back again soon. And of course the cherry on top was the Sail Rock excursion where I could swim with a baby whale shark! Thank you for your help with everything!"
